I thought about the cover photo for this sneak peek for a longggg time and finally landed here because it just felt right: married for two minutes, heirloom champagne coupes brought from home in hand, surrounded by their favorite people, grinning ear to ear.

Yes, the views this weekend were spectacular, but when I think back on Lauren and Luke’s wedding, I’ll think of this feeling first. Their whole weekend was easy, intimate, intentional, and grounded in 13 years of love.

(Oh, and Lauren’s ridiculous bouquet will also be living rent free in my mind forever. I mean... peep the snap peas. I’m OBSESSED— crushed it 😍)

This weekend in Shelburne was something special. I’m working hard to get these two up on the blog by Friday, pinky promise, but I couldn’t wait to get a sneak peek in your feed.

Obsessed with all of the fun touches that Kara and Kendall incorporated during party time on their wedding day. passed around the dance floor, a Defying Gravity singalong (Arguably my favorite part of the entire day), custom flash tattoos, and the most iconic cocktail menu... just to name a few 🥂

Couldn’t resist dropping a few faves in the feed from their epic dance party last July (How has it almost been a year, y’all?!)

When I saw that Abie and Travis describe the vibe and design of their wedding day as “all the colors with an accent of disco ball,” my brain basically melted in the best way possible. And when these two commit to a vibe— they do it right 😍

But honestly, what truly altered my brain chemistry after this weekend wasn’t the florals and twinkle lights and sparkle and amazing views for portraits (although, yes, these were to die for too), it was the way their love and the people around them filled the space with so much warmth. It was the way college nicknames took the place of names and how these two played a few rounds of rock, paper, scissors to decide who would read their private vows first. It was the way that A&T decorated their chuppah with photos of loved ones celebrating with us in spirit, and the way their friends and family showed up for them fully present and ready to tear up the dance floor. Their day felt like one big warm hug (and no, this had nothing to do with the summer heat and humidity that the DC area is known for) from start to finish.
