We kicked off 2026 with both our preschoolers and elementary kids learning about young Jesus.

When Mary and Joseph realized that young Jesus was not with them, they hurried back to Jerusalem to look for Him. Meanwhile, Jesus was right where He knew He should be, in His Father’s house talking with important teachers. The Bible teaches us that everyone who heard Jesus was amazed.

After Jesus went home with His parents, we read in Luke 2:52 that “Jesus became wiser and stronger. He also became more and more pleasing to God and to people.” We learned that we should practice talking about God. Jesus talked about God to others, and we can talk about God to others, too.

We’re looking forward to seeing your family tomorrow morning!

✨Yesterday in Central Kids

Our preschoolers learned about Elisha, who was a prophet. There was a woman and her husband who wanted to help Elisha. They made a room on the roof of their house so Elisha has a place to rest when he visited their town. We can thank God for the people who help us. We can thank God for everything! 2 Kings 4:8-17

Our elementary kids learned about Esther who was made queen. But when a plot was set in motion that would destroy all the Jewish exiles in Persia, Esther knew that even her royal position couldn’t save her. So relying on her confidence in God, she went before the king to beg for the lives of her people. God helped Esther to be brave and God can help us stand up for others. Esther 2-4
