Ready At Five

We are reaching out with heartfelt appreciation and an important update about Ready At Five. After thoughtful consideration we have made the difficult decision to conclude our operations effective January 30, 2026.

As we reflect on our impactful journey since 1992, what stands out most is the progress made toward high-quality early learning opportunities being available across the State along with the recognition of the importance of a strong start to a child’s education. We are thankful for the strength and generosity of the partnerships we’ve been fortunate to build over the years. This work cannot be done in isolation and the early childhood community in Maryland has supported Ready At Five in innumerable ways. Our vision has always been that every child in Maryland has the foundational skills needed for success in school, career and life. We are grateful for all of you who have supported us in this core belief, and we applaud you for continuing to advance school readiness of Maryland’s children.

In the remaining days we hope you will refer to our website at www.readyatfive.org and social media for any announcements and information regarding programs and trainings. While this chapter is coming to a close for us, the needs and values that brought us together remain. We encourage continued support for the organizations and early childhood professionals in our field working to educate and care for our youngest learners.
