It has been a few months since I put out an article, so I’m happy to share my latest, published with CIMSEC: The Center for International Maritime Security, looking at how the focus on “legal finish” in maritime security has led to a neglect of what I am calling “legal start” - advocating for integration of operational legal expertise from the outset of the maritime security cycle.
