Baltimore Sun Hall of Fame 2025: Scott Dorsey, Merritt Cos. CEO, chairman Chairman and CEO Scott Dorsey has led Merritt Companies from a couple dozen employees and a 1 million-square-foot portfolio to nearly 200 workers and 20 million square feet.

Today, we celebrate Team Merritt's success at the 2025 Corporate Polar Bear Plunge! Last Friday, Merritt employees from multiple offices participated in the annual fundraiser and collectively raised $60,992 for the Special Olympics Maryland. Our team captain was also recognized with the award for Top Individual Fundraiser. Congrats !

Last night, Merritt's Virginia office received the 2024 Loudoun Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award! This award recognized our Virginia team for their commitment to the community through philanthropy and leadership. On February 2, Team will once again plunge into the icy Chesapeake Bay for the annual Corporate Polar Bear Plunge, supporting Special Olympics Maryland. For the second year in a row, employees will participate in the Super Plunge, committing to one plunge every hour for 24 hours starting this Friday, January 26.
