Springboard Community Services Carroll County team was proud to stand alongside our community as members of the Carroll County Human Trafficking Task Force by participating in the Red Sand Project.

The Red Sand Project is a public art and awareness campaign that uses red sand to fill the cracks in sidewalks—symbolizing the people who "fall through the cracks" and become vulnerable to human trafficking and exploitation. By placing red sand in these overlooked spaces throughout our community and at our office, we are helping spark important conversations about a crime that often remains hidden in plain sight.

Human trafficking can happen anywhere and affects individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and communities. Raising awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have to recognize the warning signs, support survivors, and prevent exploitation.

Together, we can help ensure that no one falls through the cracks.
