Rabbi Daniel Cotzin Burg: Longtime Spiritual Leader Reflects On 16 Years At Beth Am Synagogue Rabbi Daniel Cotzin Burg said what drew him to the rabbinate was a calling, a sense that he wanted to serve God and the Jewish people.

We're kvelling over the wonderful memories and photos already shared for our tribute gift to Rabbi Daniel and his family!

If you haven't heard, to express our gratitude for the Burg Family’s dedication to Beth Am, we are creating a personal book of reflections under the stewardship of
Shana Kroiz. It will be compiled and transferred to beautiful paper and bound in copper plates reminiscent of the artwork that was gifted to Rabbi Burg on his arrival. From weddings and holidays to B'nai Mitzvah prep and snow days, we invite you to share your memories by writing a personal missive or sharing photos of special moments!

Introducing your 5786 Tikkun Leil Shavuot teachers! Join them next Thursday, May 21st at Beth Am for an evening of learning, singing, and celebrating Torah. Coffee, cheesecake, and other desserts will be provided!

4 weeks from today, we will kick-off our Summer Services in the Park with Shabbat of Gratitude, honoring Rabbi Daniel Cotzin Burg and his family's 16 years at Beth Am.

The evening will feature the Taharka Brothers Ice Cream Truck, a BYO picnic dinner, and musical Klei Kodesh services with Rav Daniel, Rav Tyler, Eliyah Burg, and Uncle Ira’s Washboard Ensemble! PLUS, your chance to meet a Maryland Zoo penguin!
