Early on in my career, I made a mistake that cost me time and money… but it taught me a lesson I’ll never forget.

I used to think cash flow wasn’t a big deal as long as the business was growing. I focused only on revenue but ignored how fast money was coming in vs. going out.

One day, I landed a huge deal—exciting, right?

But I didn’t have the cash to fulfill the order. I had to scramble for financing, and it nearly cost me the opportunity.

What I learned?

Cash flow is king. Having financing options ready is just as important as making sales.
