Some time ago, someone I thought I would share my life with told me to cut down this “w**d” in our front yard. They hated it. I thought it was cool looking. That w**d turned out to be a Raspberry Tree. The way they saw that undeveloped raspberry “w**d” was the same way they saw a lot of things, including me. I don’t blame them, it’s a filter that helps us survive in this cruel world. But, like this Raspberry Tree, I needed a bit more time to bear fruit. Time is precious to all of us. Time can be viewed by one as being wasted and by another as being critical. We all need a different amount of seasons to prepare to bear and share our fruit. I look forward to this tree every year now as it makes more and more fruit to share with me, my dog spice girl, and the birds. I love this tree. I am this tree.
