Hey there, Boston!👋
It was great to see everyone last weekend at BC High for our JVC Fundraising Reception! 50 friends joined us for a wonderful evening of support and celebration as we start to head into the close of our program year.
A massive thank you to everyone who contributed, we’ve officially raised over $15,000! Your support keeps our impact and work alive and well. 🙏💛
Huge shoutout to BC High President and FJV, Grace Cotter Regan (Belize ‘82-‘83), who opened the evening in prayer and welcomed us so warmly. (Go Eagles! 🦅) We are grateful for this community. Thank you BOSTON for coming out!

JVC GOES SILENT 🤫
During the month of May, the JVs stepped away from the noise and entered into a period of silent retreat. In a world always asking us to do… speak… and react… taking time to simply be and listen is an act of faith and community.✊🙏
Through silence, we create space to process the JV experience, deepen spirituality, and listen to the “why” that is guiding our journeys of service.
As Mother Teresa reminds us:
❝We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature, trees, flowers, grass, grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.❞
a BIG shoutout to our incredible programs staff and the dedicated spiritual advisors who held space, offered guidance, and made this silent retreat possible for our volunteers. We are so glad to welcome our JVs back, grounded and renewed for their journey ahead.
