Last week, Quirk Subaru employees were proud to support Crossroads Youth Center, a Maine-based nonprofit dedicated to helping youth and teens build confidence, character, and a strong sense of community.
Through their after-school programming, Crossroads creates a safe and welcoming space where young people can develop self-esteem, learn positive social behaviors, and grow through volunteering, character education, and community involvement.

From Orono to Michigan International Speedway — Quirk Auto Group is proud to back the University of Maine's Black Bear Racing team at Formula SAE Michigan 2026! 🏁

Formula SAE is one of the premier collegiate engineering competitions in the world. Student teams spend the entire year designing, manufacturing, and testing a formula-style race car — handling everything from aerodynamics and chassis fabrication to suspension tuning and the business case behind the build. Then they bring it all to Michigan to be put through the gauntlet against teams from around the globe.

Day 1 kicked off with technical inspection — a 100+ point evaluation where judges scrutinize every aspect of the car to make sure it meets the strict FSAE rulebook. The team passed through with flying colors, with just a few small fixes before tackling the rest of inspection on Day 2. Today is Day 3, and the Black Bears are pushing forward with the dynamic events on the horizon — acceleration, skid pad, autocross, and the grueling endurance run that puts everything they've built to the ultimate test. Tomorrow wraps it all up on Day 4.
