This constant stream of data allows us to make micro-adjustments to your care instantly, keeping your body perfectly balanced throughout the procedure.

"Do I have to go completely to sleep?"

Not always! Depending on your surgery, your Nurse Anesthesiologist might recommend Regional Anesthesia (like a spinal or nerve block) combined with light sedation. This keeps the surgical area completely numb while allowing you to breathe on your own and wake up much faster without that "heavy" feeling. We will always discuss the safest, most comfortable option for you.

In the pre-op area, honesty is the best policy. Your Nurse Anesthesiologist needs to know about every medication you take—including cannabis, alcohol, over-the-counter pills, and herbal supplements. We aren't here to judge; we ask because many substances directly interact with anesthesia or affect your blood pressure. Total transparency allows us to keep you safe! 💊
