The 15 minutes after the sun went below the horizon was the best part of this sunrise in early June in Chatham, MA. The light coming up from below the horizon to the west reflected beautifully off the high clouds. As the wind picked up, I explored around behind the dunes and found a few more sections of beach roses that were protected enough by the wind to stay still enough for a long exposure in the fading light.

Summer hiking season is almost upon us! In this photo, you can see Lonesome Lake glinting in the last light of the day as Franconia Ridge glows pink in the distance.
