Twin Maple Farms

Weekend update. Typical busy week for the last of April here at Twin Maple Farm. Seeded more flats to be transplanted. Transplanted cole crops and the next planting of onion sets. The biggest accomplishment was finishing plowing and park the plows until next spring. The boys were busy cutting seed potatoes and preparing ground to plant potatoes. Plans are to start planting the more potatoes this week. So far, we’ve had adequate moisture, but as you can see in the photos, the corn doesn’t like these cool temperatures. Hopefully, this week’s predicted warm temperatures will perk them up. The weatherman’s predicted rain Wednesday could slightly delay potato planting. Until next week, stay safe, healthy, and happy.
