Jaguar NEST
A student-centered campus resource at Southern University committed to reducing food insecurity.
Thank you for standing with the Jaguar N.E.S.T.
With your generosity, we are able to provide meals, essential items, and support to students across Southern University. Your contributions are helping us fight food insecurity and create a campus where every student has access to the resources they need to succeed.
This work is bigger than food. It is about dignity, opportunity, and student success.
We are grateful for every donor, partner, volunteer, and advocate who continues to pour into this mission.
Food Access is the Standard at Southern University.
Today at the Jaguar N.E.S.T., we are preparing hearty homemade Yakamein, crisp cucumber tomato salad, and fresh wraps made with care. Every ingredient is chopped, mixed, portioned, and packaged with purpose.
This is more than a meal. This is access. This is dignity. This is what it looks like when a university makes food security the standard.
We are proud to nourish our students with balanced, flavorful options that support wellness and academic success.
Food access matters. Community matters. Jaguars take care of Jaguars.
Thank you to the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and our dedicated community volunteers for showing up and supporting the Jaguar N.E.S.T. Your time, energy, and commitment help us continue addressing food insecurity and ensuring that students have access to the resources they need to succeed. We are grateful for your partnership and your heart for service.
Together, we are making a difference.
At Southern University A&M College, Jaguar N.E.S.T. exists to make sure students have consistent access to food and basic necessities so they can focus on learning, growing, and graduating. When students are not worried about where their next meal will come from, they are better able to show up in the classroom and succeed.
Jaguar N.E.S.T. provides free food, essential items, and community support for students in need. This work is about dignity, access, and creating an environment where every Jaguar has the opportunity to thrive.
Food access is the standard, not a privilege.

Anti-Hunger Day at the Louisiana State Capitol
Food insecurity remains a critical issue on college campuses. Research shows that one in four college students experiences food insecurity, with even higher rates at HBCUs.
You can help us address this crisis by volunteering your time, donating food and personal hygiene items to the N.E.S.T., or making a monetary contribution.
