I want to tell you about Robert, an Army Veteran who proudly served our country from 1983 to 1987.

When we first met, he didn't believe in the VA anymore.

After nearly 38 years of feeling unheard, he had accepted that no one was ever going to fight for him. Despite serving in the Army, he had a 0% disability rating and felt like his sacrifices had been forgotten.

He wasn't looking for miracles. He just wanted someone to believe him.

So that's where we started.

His first claim brought him to 70%. Then 90%. Most people would have stopped there.

On October 17, 2025 (more than two years after we began working together) Robert was finally awarded the 100% VA disability rating he had earned all along.

But here's what meant the most to me.

A few days later, Robert sent me this:

After nearly 38 years of feeling unheard, I had almost accepted that no one would ever fight for me. Then I met someone who believed in me, stood beside me, and refused to quit. My 100% rating changed my life, but the mentorship, encouragement, and unwavering support I received changed who I am."

That's why I do this. The goal has never been to win claims.

The goal is to make sure no Veteran ever feels forgotten.

Many Veterans believe they need overwhelming proof to win a VA claim. That's not actually the standard.

The VA operates under a principle called "𝗔𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁."

📌 In practical terms, if the evidence supporting your claim is just as persuasive as the evidence against it, the VA is supposed to give you the benefit of the doubt.

This is why a strong medical nexus opinion can be so important. The right evidence isn't necessarily about proving your case beyond all doubt, it's about showing that your condition is at least as likely as not connected to your military service.

Understanding this standard can change how you approach your claim, gather evidence, and respond to unfavorable decisions.
