What You Need to Know:

• You may have an outstanding debt collected through the IRS (student loans, child support, state/federal debt, etc.).
• You may also owe the IRS directly.
• If your refund was offset, it does not cancel:
• Refund Advance Loan balances (if issued)
• Tax preparation fees

⚠️ Just because your return was processed does NOT always mean your preparer was paid.

If a refund advance loan was issued and your refund was reduced or taken, you may still owe the bank and/or your tax preparation fees.
