The Captured Moments exhibit, currently on display at the Louisiana State Archives, features a series of prints and photographs that highlight the 200th anniversary of photography through the lens of Louisiana’s robust history. The images featured are rotated out every 4-6 months. This measure is taken in order to mitigate any potential damages light may pose to the original prints. The Archives staff takes great pride in handling these historical artifacts, monitoring not only light but also temperature and humidity levels. This rotation additionally supplies our valued visitors a chance to examine original photos while supplying us an outlet to showcase the vast array of artifacts housed in our collections. Here at the Archives, we hope to keep the visitor experience as vibrant and flourished as possible, displaying a slew of novel and unique items for you all to enjoy.
