Some folks who are intune with The Holy Spirit of God can speak into your Spirit with just one sentence.

This is one of those folks.

Your Audience!

Richard E. Simmons, III asked a very good question in his book 'The True Measure Of A Man' (and by the way thank you Johnny B. Young Jr. for the hand-off). Simmons asked "Who is your audience?"

He wasn't asking men who are your followers on some social media page, but rather, who populates the audience of folks that impact your self-identity.

At first read, the immediate answer might sound like " man, don't nobody do that to me", in other words, I'm a man and I determine for myself who I am.

However, upon closer reflection and introspection, when we find ourselves alone with our thoughts, we may be able to identify some folks who fit that bill.

When I truly dove into that thought, I identified some folks. Now, honestly there isn't anyone that impacts across the board in every category, at least not anyone alive, but, when it comes down to my hat room and I'm putting on the different hats I wear interchangeably, I got folks.

As I thought about these fellas, (people), I chuckled. I chuckled because, for a moment I considered whether or not they knew they held that position with me. Then I chuckled again as I realized that they too may have some folks on the other side of them that hold that same position in their lives.

Anyway, take that inventory for just a moment. Who is the audience in your life that impacts your self-identity?
