This week we’re celebrating Brenda’s 5-year anniversary! 🎉❤️

Five years ago, I hired an incredible team member. What I didn’t know was that I was gaining a true friend.

Just a couple of months after hiring Brenda, Hurricane Ida hit. The very next morning, Brenda showed up in her white shorts and visor, ready to serve our customers. She didn’t complain—she simply showed up. And that’s exactly who she is.

When I was pregnant with Eloise, Brenda gave me the poem Welcome to Holland. It meant so much to me that it’s the reason Eloise’s middle name is Holland.

Brenda is the person I trust to answer our office security calls, the one who makes us laugh every single day (even if I’m usually the punchline 😂), and the kind of person who spends her day off landscaping a coworker’s yard just to bless them.

Kind. Loyal. Dependable. Funny. Generous. Just the right amount of spicy. ❤️🌶️
