Today, TheEduProject Innovation Academy had the privilege of partnering with Family & Youth Service Center (FYSC), Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, and LSU Campus Life | Division of Student Affairs for a meaningful day of service at the FYSC campus.

Before the work began, our students and volunteers were given a powerful lesson by Roxson Welch, who shared the rich history of the Family & Youth Service Center and its lasting impact on Baton Rouge. Understanding the legacy behind the campus gave purpose to every flower planted, every branch trimmed, and every room organized.

Together, students from TheEduProject and LSU worked side by side to beautify the campus, care for the grounds, and help preserve a space that continues to serve families and young people throughout our community.

At TheEduProject Innovation Academy, we believe the best learning happens when students connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. Today wasn't just about volunteering—it was about learning local history, honoring community, building relationships, and serving with purpose.
