This year’s first mural served as the backdrop for the La Gesta block party in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on June 28th. Located outside the Caribbean Social Club, a cultural gathering place rooted in Puerto Rican culture, the mural featured an illustrated portrait of Toñita, a Puerto Rican community leader and longtime owner of the iconic club.
