BREC's Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center

Are you ready for Storytime at the Swamp?! It may be hot outside but we will be chilling with our turtle friends in the Nature Center reading stories and singing songs. Head over for 10:30 this morning and join the fun!

Thanks go out to LDWF for donating Wood Duck nesting boxes to the Swamp. With staff assistance, they were able to set up 5 new boxes around the site for our feathered friends. Many of the boxes are visible from the trails, so come on out and see if you spot any activity throughout the year!

For the second year in a row, BREC's Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center has been nominated by the community in The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA) 's Best of Baton Rouge contest. We’re honored to be recognized for the programs and experiences we provide across the city.
