Chumac Kennels

A big shout-out to Feliciana Retriever Club and all their hard working members on a very well run D/Q this weekend.. Also thank you to the Anderson family for generously allowing the use of their beautiful farm...and finally the Qualifying judges Jeff Gruber and Andrew Prevost for setting up quality tests and finishing a 43 dog qualifying in 1 day!!!

Our training group was fortunate to get the Qualifying win for Mark Polkey's youngster Kya..Down Da Bayou's Wheredacrawfish Sing..

Kya never had a misstep all day....I was very honored to stand beside her. Enjoy that QAA Mark!!!!

Junior, owned by Chris Bourgeois had a very nice day and got the Reserve Jam..

Sable, owned by David Brewerton and a littermate to Kya got a Jam in her 1st Qual.

Babe, owned by Blayne Kiff got a Jam as well running a nice Qual.

Our training group was well represented with Scott Arceneaux and Tru getting a Jam in Tru's 1st Qual...and David G. Lowrance stepped from the hunt test to the field trial world and got a Jam in his 1st Qual with Alli.

And a huge Congrats as well to Stefanie Stoll and Fuller on a Derby Jam in her 1st competitive event..

And a special thank you to my good friend Ron Anderson, who along with Scott keep pushing me to make our dogs better!!!

This should produce some super nice pups for any game you want to play!!!

Cypress is a 2.5 yo Black Lab Female....She is started level...Steady and Force fetched and has been hunted. Clean and quiet in a kennel or crate....

Cypress is extremely well bred....NFC Floyd x MH Ali Dam....

She has not been with us for formal training but due to owners health issues he is forced to sell. I have had her for 2 weeks and she is a really nice started dog.

We had a great time competing with lots of friends at the Feliciana Classic SRS event in beautiful St. Francisville, LA.

We got a 3rd place finish with Mark Polkey's impressive dog Cutter. This qualifies Cutter for the SRS Crown Championship in October.

Cutter joins Rip, Bailey and Nado as qualifiers for Team Chumac.

Huge thank you to Shannon Nardi and Matt Emeraon and all the SRS crew as well as judges AL Arthur and Glen Scarborough who set up some very challenging tests.
