We are sharing this message in response to the post Chef Brandon Odom made earlier and the many community members who have reached out asking how they can help.

Our community has shown an incredible amount of love and support for the family of Davian Nicholas, and it has truly been moving to see so many people willing to step in during such a heartbreaking time. 🙏🏾

Several people have asked about making contributions for the repast meal. If you would like to help, you may drop off uncooked food items, and Odom’s Kitchen will assist by preparing the food for the repast. (9431 Delcourt Avenue)

For liability and food safety reasons, we are unable to accept cooked food.

Please note that Odom’s Kitchen is not collecting or soliciting funds. We are simply trying to support a bereaved family during this devastatingly difficult time.

If anyone wishes to make a monetary donation, we encourage you to send it directly to Davian’s mother once she shares her information.

Please continue to keep this family in your prayers… and as a community, let us continue to stand together and support one another.

We also want to take a moment to call on our community… please put the weapons down. No mother should ever have to grieve an 8-year-old child because of gun violence. Our children deserve to grow up safely in the communities we all share.

Let us stand together, support this family, and commit ourselves to ending the violence.
