🚨 The Work Permit Process Has Changed

Louisiana's youth employment certificate process is now managed by Louisiana Works.

Here's what you need to know:

✅ Employers are now responsible for issuing work permits and verifying a minor's age.
🏫 Schools no longer issue work permits or employment certificates.
📄 Use the new Louisiana Works Employment Certificate.

⚠️ Important reminder: School access to the Louisiana Works Employment Certificate System ends July 24, 2026.

This update is important for parents, students, employers, and school partners preparing for youth employment.

Scholarship Opportunity for Louisiana Residents

Applications are now open for the 2026 Louisiana Resiliency Scholarship.

Through a partnership between Quanta Services and Entergy, two Louisiana residents will receive full scholarships to attend the Northwest Lineman Center Electrical Lineworker Program.

The scholarship covers:�
• Tuition�• Application and lab fees
• CDL costs
•Required tools
• Student housing during the program

Applicants must be Louisiana residents, submit a complete application packet, and be accepted into the Northwest Lineman Center Electrical Lineworker Program.

📅 Application Deadline: July 14, 2026
