Louisiana’s waterways are the lifeblood of our coastal fisheries — and keeping them clean is solid conservation work.

We are proud to stand alongside Keep Louisiana Beautiful, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Pontchartrain Conservancy, The Water Institute, Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, LSU College of the Coast & Environment, LSU Coastal Ecosystem Design Studio, Future Use of Energy in Louisiana, Baton Rouge Green, and the Louisiana Department of Education as the Love Our Waterway initiative was officially launched.

This September, communities across the state will hit the rivers, lakes, bayous, and shorelines to clean up what we all fish, paddle, and depend on.

CCA Louisiana’s Impact Team is all in. Stay tuned for more info on some upcoming work days near you!

Three menhaden accountability bills have been signed into law — a win for Louisiana's saltwater fisheries and the saltwater anglers who call this state home.

These new laws will:
✅ INCREASE FINES for menhaden fishing violations
✅ ENHANCE VESSEL TRACKING requirement
✅ REQUIRE PUBLIC DISCLOSURE of menhaden harvest reports

CCA Louisiana thanks Reps. Vincent Cox, Jerome Zeringue, and Joseph Orgeron for their leadership on these bills — and our conservation partners: Louisiana Wildlife Federation, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, and the Louisiana Charter Fishing for their tireless advocacy alongside us.

While our work to protect Louisiana's fisheries is far from over, we celebrate three meaningful steps forward. Thank you to every member and angler who made their voice heard this session. 🐟⚓
