Triform Therapy

This week I was asked where the name Triform came from and felt it was necessary to share it with everyone.

I’ve come to appreciate God has been writing the story of Triform long before I even knew its name. The number three has followed me throughout my entire life and always had special meaning. My faith in the Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. My basketball number, 33. My years as a triathlete. And eventually, the three disciplines that would come together under one roof to serve children and their families. When I dreamed of opening my own clinic, my husband and I knew the name had to begin with “Tri.” Tri also represents the three people I believe God brings together to make my job possible: the child, the parent, and the therapist. Each with a different role. Each needing the other. None meant to walk the journey alone. “Tri.” is what I live out everyday- I try to help others as much as possible. I try to have a positive attitude daily. I try to be a good wife, mother, and faithful servant of God. TRI is a constant reminder of my purpose in life.

But “Tri” wasn’t complete so my husband suggested “Form.” And suddenly, there it was.
Triform. If you haven’t experienced us, you likely don’t know what sets us apart. This is where relationships are formed… Confidence is formed… Strength is formed… Hope is formed. And together, we help shape possibilities for children that others may not yet be able to see. Looking back, I can see God’s hand in every piece of the story. Triform Therapy isn’t simply the name of a clinic. It’s a reminder that God had a plan long before I understood it.

Tri—the Trinity, three disciplines, and the child, parent, and therapist.

Form—God bringing us together and shaping something greater than we could ever create alone.

This is Triform Therapy. Not simply because of what we do, but because of Who called us to do it. Sometimes all we can do is have the faith to try, trust God through the transformation, and believe that every triumph is part of a story far greater than our own.
