Saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Dan Fordice, son of former Mississippi Governor Kirk Fordice.

I enjoyed getting to meet him last year. He was a great man who will be missed.

Please join me in praying for the Fordice family during this time.

Another day, another huge education improvement in Louisiana!

Today, the Education Scorecard ranked Louisiana FIRST among states in reading growth and second among states in math growth.

We are the ONLY state to surpass pre-pandemic levels.

Congratulations to the students and teachers who make announcements like these possible. Let’s keep leading the Nation!

Louisiana knows the value of hard work!

That’s why I was proud to sign Representative Carlson’s bill which allows parents to sign off on their kids joining the workforce before they are 18 years old.

“I want elections where the best candidate can win— whether black, white, Republican, Democrat, or Independent because they earned the support of the people.”

A great testimony and perfect example of civil dialogue. We need more of this!

I am incredibly thankful for the men and women on the Thin Blue Line that serve our communities daily. When everyone else is running away from danger, they are running toward it in order to keep us safe.

Join me in celebrating them this National Police Week!

We all have been influenced by the legacy of a Mother’s light. Despite my own mother’s passing, I continue to see the benefits of her influence in my life and the lives of my siblings, spouse, and child.

We honor mothers today, because their influence isn't about being known by the world; it’s about making sure their family is known by God.

“All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother." — Abraham Lincoln
