Throwback Thursday! Here's a picture of Henry V. Howe in his element. Dr. Howe began his career at LSU in 1922 and transformed a fledgling geoscience department into what we know it today. His sheer enthusiasm for Geology attracted a number of students and faculty, spurred the beginnings of the Geology Field Camp, and laid the foundation for the future success of the department.
