Southern University Alumni - East Baton Rouge Parish Chapter

Our regular chapter meeting will be Wed., June 10th, at 6:00 P.M. It will be an in-person meeting, held at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Catholic Student Center, 586 Harding Blvd. (next to the Valdry Center for Philanthropy) on Southern University's campus.

We will present the 2026 scholarship recipients to the chapter members in the June meeting.

There are many stops on the pathway to greatness, and we are glad to have been one of them! Our chapter was pleased to formally recognize Coach Barry Doyle while making history by cementing his place in the history books of women's bowling. Such accomplishments include guiding the bowling team to back-to-back SWAC regular season championships, as they claimed the 2024 SWAC Regular Season Championship; in his third season, being named SWAC Women's Bowling Coach of the Year after securing the SWAC regular championship; reaching his 100th win in his career at Southern; three-time SWAC Women's Bowling Coach of the Year and 2025 SWAC Women's Bowling Co-Coach of the year. We have no doubt that you will continue making a difference in the lives of female athletes, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors, Coach!
