Today at The Hooper Hustle was proof of exactly that. Watching these riders put their training into action was everything. Zoie took home 1st place, Butch snagged 2nd, and Holden crushed it with a 2nd in his division. Huge wins, and every bit earned.

But the real highlight wasn’t just the podium — it was the grit. Several students showed up, pushed past fears, rode stronger than they ever have, and proved to themselves what they’re capable of. 💪 That’s the heart of mountain biking, and why I love coaching.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. Ready for the next one already. 🥇

I’ve been teaching a lot over at Hooper lately, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to coach — wide open spaces, no distractions, and perfect terrain for practicing skills with all levels of riders.

This weekend, I had the pleasure of working with the Seaman family, and it was such a fun session! We have a new lady rider joining our growing community, a junior rider who’s already signed up for the upcoming Hooper Hustle race, and a dad who’s definitely going to be even faster when he joins our group rides at Comite.

Yep, we’re partnering with Send It Sisters MTB to host a skills clinic for the junior age group. It’s a perfect chance for young riders to build confidence and have a good time on bikes!

Our “Fall” Group Ride looked a little more like mid-July 🔥 (nearly 100°!), but that didn’t stop us! 🍁🚴‍♀️

We had 20+ riders come in from Mississippi, Alabama, Lafayette, New Orleans, Denham Springs, Covington, and beyond—and together we knocked out 18 miles.

Huge thanks to everyone who came, sweated it out, and made this ride such a success!!
