Natalie Malek, Assistant Director of the Pediatric Obesity & Health Behavior Laboratory, was selected for the inaugural Women’s Leadership Academy cohort.

The Women’s Leadership Academy is a collaborative partnership between the Junior League of Baton Rouge and the Leadership Development Institute designed to bring together emerging and established women leaders from across industries for an immersive professional development experience grounded in research, reflection and applied practice.

Dr. Timothy Allerton recently represented Pennington Biomedical at the 8th World Congress on Hydrogen Sulfide in Biology and Medicine in Fribourg, Switzerland, where leading scientists from around the world gathered to share the latest advances in hydrogen sulfide biology and its role in human health. Dr. Allerton delivered a presentation, “Hydrogen Sulfide Signaling and Exercise Intolerance in Cardiometabolic Disease,” highlighting Pennington Biomedical’s research on the role of hydrogen sulfide signaling in cardiometabolic health and exercise performance.
