On Flag Day we pause to honor the symbol of our freedom, and the sacrifices made to defend it. Every star and stripe reminds us of the responsibility we share to protect our neighbors and build a stronger Louisiana. As Commissioner of Insurance I am working to restore fairness, lower costs, and give families the security they deserve.
Today let us fly the flag proudly and rededicate ourselves to service, integrity, and reform. Happy Flag Day.

I hosted underwriters from London to tour some of southeast Louisiana’s most critical hurricane and flood mitigation infrastructure, from the Lake Borgne Storm Surge Barrier to the 17th Street Canal and the West Closure Complex. Thanks to the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, the Flood Protection Authority, and the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority, West for their leadership and for helping us showcase our state’s strong commitment to resilience and risk reduction.
