🎹 Pianist Spotlight: Chaoi Chou 🎶

We’re delighted to welcome Chaoi Chou as one of the collaborative pianists for the 2026 Louisiana Bass Festival!

🎼 International performer with appearances in the US, Europe, and Asia
🌍 Performed in halls including Eastman Theater, Opéra Bastille, Copenhagen Opera House, and National Recital Hall in Taipei
📰 Praised by The Strad for her artistry: “There is plenty to admire in her technique and sound.”
🎶 Specialist in classical and contemporary music, with numerous world and Taiwan premieres
🎻 Official pianist for the European Double Bass Congress in Copenhagen (2012) and Prague (2016)

A frequent collaborator with leading bassists from around the world, Chaoi brings exceptional versatility, sensitivity, and musical insight to the stage.

🎓 Chaoi studied at Interlochen Arts Academy and earned her BM, MM, and DMA degrees from the Eastman School of Music. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of General Music at Shih Chien University in Taiwan and is a PhD Theory Candidate at LSU.

🔥 Chaoi Chou will be joining us in person, bringing her artistry and collaborative excellence to BassFest performances and events!
