Kayla's Krusaders Against A-T

Doc visits 2/18/26

Kayla had 3 appointments today. Our first stop was with our favorite doc! Dr. McCormick checked Kayla out and is very happy with her health at this time. We did discuss Levacetylleucine. He is going to see if it will be a benefit for her and let me know. If the significance of this drug is majorly benefitting our A-T kids we will get things in line to get Kayla on it. Right now in trials this drug is performing well.

Our second stop was with our newest team member her new Pulomonologist Dr. Vincent. He listened to Kayla and was also happy with how she sounds. He said eventually we will do an MRI of her lungs. Due to the sensitivity to radiation that A-T patients have we will not do it right away. We see him again in 1 year unless we have issues. Please pray we continue to keep her well.

Our final stop was our eye doctor. Dr. Wax. As I suspected Kayla’s vision has gotten a bit worse. We are in the process of getting new glasses for her.

Over all we had a successful day. Thanking God for all the good news today.

August is A-T Awareness Month. Kayla was diagnosed with Ataxia Telangiectasia in 2010.
