PDRE Is Looking for a Videography Intern

Performance Dynamics Racing Engines (PDRE) is searching for a rising videographer who wants real-world experience creating high-impact automotive content. We are building out our YouTube channel and broader media presence, and we want someone hungry to learn, grow, and be part of something with serious momentum.

What You’ll Do
• Film shop projects, dyno sessions, engine builds, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Capture B-roll, interviews, and track-day footage.
• Help develop storyboards, short-form content, and long-form YouTube episodes.
• Work alongside our team to shape the visual identity of PDRE as we scale our media footprint.

What We’re Looking For
• Someone actively developing their videography and editing skills.
• A creative eye, willingness to learn, and interest in automotive culture.
• Experience with DSLR / mirrorless cameras and editing software (Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut) is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced shop environment.

When I was 17, I stood next to an ’87 RX7 I’d just bought. It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t fast. But to me, it was everything. It was freedom. It was possibility. And every time I see that same sparkle in the eyes of some kid watching us drive the cars we’ve dreamed into reality, I’m reminded, that was me once. That was all of us. Wide-eyed, imagining one day we’d have a machine of our own to love, to ruin, and to rebuild.

That’s what PDRE is about. We don’t just bolt engines together. We live for the smell of race fuel, the shriek of a turbo spooling up, and the sheer, unfiltered joy of seeing someone fall head over heels for their car again.

This is not just business. This is life. It’s passion distilled into horsepower. And it’s why we’ll always be here, wrenches in hand, chasing the same mad dream as every other poor soul hopelessly in love with cars.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for a skilled technician to join the team at PDRE.

📍 Full-time salary position
✅ Guaranteed 40 hours/week
💵 Pay based on experience: $28–$40/hr equivalent
💥 Performance bonus based on quality, efficiency, and consistency
🛠️ Fabrication skills a plus, but not required
🏁 Work on some of the fastest, most capable builds in the region
🧰 Tools and speed are great—but your mindset matters more

While it may not be breaking horsepower records, today we had something truly special on the dyno—a rare early-model Honda Prelude, beautifully assembled by the owner in a way that feels like it rolled straight out of a golden era. This build is dripping with ‘80s and ‘90s JDM nostalgia, and it had everyone in the shop reminiscing and swapping stories from back in the day. It’s not always about the numbers—sometimes it's just about the vibes.

Something big is coming.

This 2010 Subaru STI recently became a permanent resident at the shop—originally a customer car, now officially shop-owned. We saw the potential, made the call, and now it’s time to turn this platform into something wild.

This build will kick off our first-ever video series, where we’ll be documenting the entire journey—from teardown to dyno day. We’ll be utilizing our tried-and-true performance packages to not only showcase the capability of the platform, but to prove the reliability and care we build into every setup that leaves our shop.

This isn’t just a fun project—it’s a chance to show you what really goes into a proper street/track build, and the level of detail we bring to every car we touch.
