Steve here...remember that wind shear I talked about on Sunday? It seems the shear and some dry air being ingested into Tropical Depression #2 are winning out today. Some modest strengthening is still possible, but with wind shear only expected to increase, it's looking unlikely that we'll see anything significant develop from T.D. #2.

Additionally, with the system being lopsided, most impacts will likely be confined to areas near the coast and offshore. However, we will remain vigilant in case Mother Nature holds any surprises.

The key takeaway -- I think most of us are unlikely to see significant impacts or disruptions to our daily lives this week.
