Matt's Dinner - Matthew Bahlinger Memorial Fund

Howdy all!

It's Tuesday but as of today we are exactly 1 month away from this years Matt's Dinner 5.0!

Here we have many pictures from the first ever Matt's Dinner back in August 2022.
It rained so much that day. We joked that Matt was having fun making it rain on us. So apologies for some of these pictures being blurry since the sunlight was very odd that day.

We've said thank you many times but we have a special place in our hearts for our handful of volunteers that did so much that year. We all learned a lot and our time was still commendable serving the entire band and staff, some 350+ people, in about 20 min or less.

We look forward to making this year as delicious as years past.

The 5th annual Matt's Dinner is in about 7 weeks. We're getting ready and prepping things to get ready.

Happy Fathers day to so many dads out there. We are 2 months away from Matt's Dinner 5.0. This will be our 5th year of doing the dinner. We have come so far with now having an embedded clinician in the School of Music. She is full time and seeing students regularly. No waiting! Thanks to so many for helping is realize this dream. Matthew had to wait weeks. We hope this makes a difference for the students in The Golden Band From Tigerland and the CMDA. Sign up will be coming out soon for all of generous volunteers. It might be a little tough to be the 8:01 from last year.

Matthew loved Makers Mark Bourbon and became an Ambassador back in 2019 because it was his favorite spirit and Old Fashioned his favorite drink.
This past November we made a trip up to Louisville to collect bottles of his bourbon from his kask. It was a great trip and we would've loved to have gone with him.

Star Wars hype and love continues with REVENGE OF THE FIFTH! The Sith "holiday" post Star Wars day yesterday.

Also happy Cinco De Mayo!
This striped blanket was purchased in Epcot Mexico pavilion and when Matt was a freshman he asked me to borrow it for a toga party. Huge hit from what I remember he told me. Creative idea on his part.

Star Wars has been a big part of our family for a long time.
Many a Christmas did Santa bring Matt or at least one of us a Star Wars Lego set, game, action figure, or lightsaber.
The year that we went to Disney over Star Wars Weekends and Dad cut Matt's hair to say "STAR WAR" was particularly special.
