New Schools for Baton Rouge

Please join us in welcoming Ariel Sayre to the New Schools for Baton Rouge team as our new Administrative Assistant! In this role, Ariel will support our senior leadership team and help keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Ariel started her career as a copywriter and social media specialist, then worked her way up to internal trend reporter for TBWA\Chiat\Day, and later advanced to become a senior brand and communications strategist at both Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Anomaly. Her previous clients ranged from scrappy tech startups to major companies like Airbnb, Facebook, and Samsung.

She moved from Los Angeles to the other LA to pursue her M.A. in English Language and Literature, which she received in December 2025 from Tulane. During her studies, she fell back in love with education and became deeply connected to Louisiana’s communities and culture. When an opportunity emerged to support the next generation of students in the state she now calls home, she leapt at the chance. She lives with her partner and dog Bambi between Thibodaux and New Orleans.

Congratulations to our CEO, Dr. Noemi Donoso, on being named to Business Report’s 2026 Capital Region 500, which recognizes the most powerful and influential business and community leaders in the Capital Region.

This recognition reflects Dr. Donoso’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities, strengthening public charter schools, and ensuring more students have access to high-quality educational options across Baton Rouge.

This week, NSBR CEO Dr. Noemi Donoso was honored to join EBR Schools Superintendent LaMont Cole and other community leaders to welcome Teach For America’s newest corps members to Baton Rouge.

Dr. Donoso spoke about the progress our community has made over the past decade to expand access to quality schools, the work that remains ahead, and the important role teachers play in helping every child realize their full potential.

We are excited to welcome these future leaders to Baton Rouge and look forward to the impact they will make in our schools and communities.
