I hope I marry a man who sees me as a blessing. A man whose biggest fear is losing me. A man who is gentle with me. A man who will be captivated by me for decades, who wakes up in the morning, sees me in wrinkles and gray hair, but still falls for me all over again.

This isn't asking for too much. This is asking for what love is actually supposed to look like when it's real. When it's not based on your youth, your body, or how well you fit into someone's idea of perfect. When it's rooted in something deeper that time can't touch.

You deserve a man who treats you like the gift you are. Who doesn't take you for granted or treat your presence like it's guaranteed. Who wakes up grateful you chose him and goes to sleep determined to keep choosing you. Whose biggest nightmare isn't failure or loss of status, it's losing you.

Someone who understands that gentleness isn't weakness. Who doesn't confuse love with control or passion with aggression. Who holds your heart carefully because he knows how precious it is and how much trust it took for you to give it to him.

And decades from now, when everything society values has faded, when your hair is gray, your skin has lines that tell stories, when you're no longer the version of yourself he first met, he still looks at you with the same awe. Still finds you beautiful. Still chooses you. Still falls.
