🏀📚 Championship Mindsets. Transformational Leadership.

During the Teacher Leader Summit in New Orleans, LSU Women’s Basketball Head Coach Kim Mulkey praised the work happening in East Baton Rouge Schools and voiced support for Superintendent LaMont Cole’s commitment to investing in the people who make education possible.

Superintendent Cole is championing a proposed $6,000 pay raise for teachers and school employees, recognizing that attracting and retaining top talent requires competitive compensation and a culture where employees feel valued, respected, and supported.

Coach Mulkey understands what it takes to build a championship program. The same principles apply in education. Just as LSU competes for the nation’s best student-athletes, EBR Schools must compete for the nation’s best educators.

A strong school system starts with great people in every classroom, every cafeteria, every school office, and every school bus.

Together, we’re raising expectations, raising opportunities, and working to ensure Baton Rouge becomes a destination district for educators and families alike.

Champions invest in champions.
