Some scouts and friends showed up in the local Old Goodwood Neighborhood recently to help Jacob S. complete his Eagle Scout Project to install some solar lighting, safety painting and beautification of the neighborhood's entrance. Way to soar, Jacob!

Our scouts and adult volunteers preparing to travel to Philmont this summer returned to the Kisatchie Hills Wilderness Backbone Trail near Natchitoches, LA, this past weekend to continue their preparations and practice.
They even cooked some jambalaya for a meal along the 15+ miles they hiked! No runaway donkey this time, but the did get to do a good turn by helping to extinguish an abandoned campfire. Great job, explorers!
