BR Fire Prevention Committee
The Baton Rouge Fire Prevention Committee is a volunteer organization comprised of civilian and BRFD members. Our goal is to support the fire prevention group at BRFD by purchasing educational materials. We are a 501C3. We are always looking for group members who would like to help support our mission.
Currently we have 3 major events - a summer bowl-a-thon, the Poster Contest for school children and the Fire Prevention Banquet. The poster contest is open to children grade K-6 . Each grade has 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and an overall winner from all of the grades is awarded. The Banquet is in Oct and the poster contest winners are awarded a certificate and a goodie bag.
