One of my favorite new-to-me varieties of the 2025 season! I picked her up in a trade and found myself drawn to the dramatic, moody colors and long strong stems over and over again. Just divided and packed away some great looking tubers and I can’t wait to see her again this year. What variety did you grow for the first time last year and can’t wait to see again?!

Dahlia “Ankara”

This pretty little waterlily has been going bananas in my “new varieties” row and I finally had to just stop everything and photograph her! Super cute small waterlily around 3” in diameter, a great light pink with a touch of yellow at the center. The petals fade towards the tips which gives it a sense of glowing in the sunset. And super prolific! This plant is smothered in buds on long, slender but strong stems. I’m loving this one!
