Our Story

Hello, I am Diane and here is my story.

While in this journey with my Mother in her adult care home, there were days I saw pain, sadness, and frustration… But I was also witness to some amazing magic. On the days the “activity lady” visited, I watched the resident’s faces light up, smiles come out, and sweet interactions with each other take place. It was like the sun broke through the clouds! I knew I wanted to be part of the joy that activities, conversation, and genuine companionship can bring. I developed a friendship, and later a working relationship with the activity coordinator.

Today, I am that “activity lady.” Hello Sunshine is my way of carrying on my mother’s love and an opportunity to spread compassion to others through activities, crafts, games, baking, and physical interaction.
