Turfgrass producers have a new USDA crop insurance option to review.

USDA’s Risk Management Agency recently announced Turfgrass Value Select, a new pilot program designed for eligible irrigated turfgrass producers in select counties. With the initial sales closing date set for September 1, 2026, now is a good time for producers to understand how the program works, where it may be available, and what questions to ask a crop insurance agent.
