Thought I'd try making a new design for Sault Tribe Pow Eow this week and I'm pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. Anyone who knows me, knows I really struggle artistically. My designs take a very long time because of this. However, this one came together easier than I ever expected and I love it ❤️🥰 now to finish the skirt

We're all set up for the weekend at the Oneida Pow Wow with lots of our friends having vendor booths here as well, an AMAZING food tent next to us, and we're now awaiting the eagle release. The energy is great here, so if you're in the area come check it out!

PLEASE READ:

FURS & LEATHER

As we get further into pow pow season please purchase from indigenous vendors. We are not singling out any pow wows. However, last year many Michigan and canadian native vendors were over run by a non-native business which is being allowed into pow wows that require every other vendor to be a member of a Native America or First Nations tribe (ID proof must be provide to be a vendor). Numerous Native owned businesses were extremely adversely affected and some nearly run out of business, so please consider this when purchasing your furs and leathers. Additionally, most all native vendors offer higher quality products at what you will pay for lower quality at not native businesses.

We intended to have a few more belts and at least one more skirt to show by now, but we've only finished this belt that I showed partially completed a couple days ago and one other belt. We were blessed with another grandchild this weekend, so business was put on hold. We try hard to keep up with demand and provide our customers with lots of options; however, family is most important to us and business will always be put on hold during times that our family needs us. Thank you so much for your understanding 😊❤️

We are so excited to be a vendor at the Oneida Pow wow June 26 -28. We will have, leathers, furs, apparel, etc, but we thought we'd show some of the new products for this year. We still have porcupine quills to package for sale, 5-6 more belts we will complete, a couple more skirts, few more pairs of cuffs in different colors designs. We also need to cut the extra leather from the moccasins and put laces in all of them.

We still have blankets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc but are not carrying as much apparel because many other vendor booths carry apparel.

Designed a new moss bag design for my new granddaughter who is due June 8th then completed the bear one for her. Liked it so much I stared 4 more to put in our vendor booth at the Oneida pow wow. Now need to finish my other granddaughters moccasins this afternoon. Grandma duties are the absolute best 🥰❤️

Just to let everyone know, we've been having problems with messenger not notifying us when we have messages (sometimes for days) and sometimes FB hides comments on posts (no idea why this happens or how to fix it). If you do not hear from us, please try again and just know that we are not ignoring you. We promise we will get back to you as we get your message and/or see your comment.

Some of our belts. Some aren't completed yet. The cream colored painted one still needs paint touchs, strawberry work & the other half finished along with conchos on the dragon fly belt, & paint touch ups some belts. Also, workijg on new styles of floral belts with only rounds.
