Matcha Thomas for NYT! 🥹🤎🍵 our Hojicha Era made its mark :’) So grateful to for the opportunity to share about our flavor explorations with low and zero caffeine menu items such as Hojicha and other herbal/botanical teas (+ fun decaf treats…Lemon Cake Latte lovers wya?) ⭐️✨

Kind of wild and amazing that our first NYT feature isn’t about matcha at all hahah, but, as true foodies and lovers of building intentional flavor worlds, we’re really proud to be recognized as a voice in this emerging culinary conversation and to serve a desire for gentler, yummy bevs 4 all at Matcha Thomas.

Slow/low caffeine + decaf beverages truly create space for a special kind of offering, one that we hope supports our community in slowing down, getting recentered, and finding deeper nourishment. Thank you for allowing us to explore this form of community care through our menu items! 💚 We’ve only just begun!

The highly stressful global matcha shortage and our subsequent “Hojicha Thomas” run taught us so much and truly expanded our respect for the broader spectrum of global ingredients and their meaningful traditions, which we can learn from, honor, and creatively explore to keep serving everyday serenity to you all. Thank you for all the love and support for our culinary side quests/pivots, it means so much to be on this journey together!!
