Geneva Rugby

Spring 7s 2026
This Spring season has been a huge success for Geneva Men's Rugby!
Geneva competed in 5 sevens tournaments (Pitt Dome, CMU, Geneva, SRU, and WVU), taking ~16 players to the first two tournaments and then fielding two teams for the following two tournaments (with a second-place finish at the SRU tournament)!!! To top it all off, we traveled to WVU for our final tournament with 11 players and came away with 1st as the champions (beating Kent State University and West Virginia University twice - both D2 teams)!
Overall record for 7s was 13-10 (with several losses to D1/D2 sides like Pitt B & C sides and IUP). However, wins over IUP, Kent, and WVU show that the team can compete at a high level.
Although we will be losing several key seniors, we have picked up a handful of new guys, and the future looks bright!
Some player highlights from the Spring:
Zion Haley - led the team in tries scored (and points) with 27 total tries for this season (which equates to averaging just over one try per match). His ability to create and attack space was phenomenal.
Nate McFarland - came up second with tries scored (and points) with 20 total tries. His speed and ability to evade tackles is second to none.
Mike Mann - graduating this spring, he led the team in conversions, kicking 33/46 (72%), and settling in at third for points scored.
